Our Warhawks in kindergarten through second grade have been reviewing new books being considered for annual book awards for 2023 - the Geisel Award, the Caldecott, and Sibert Medals. 🏅
Several students even guessed the winners! 📚
Way to go! 👏 #WegaFremont

Our fifth grade Wega students worked on a snowman writing project. ⛄️ ✍️
Each student created a snowman using construction paper and then wrote directions for someone to remake their snowman without actually seeing the original.
Mrs. Hanten's students recreated Mrs. Pope's students' snowmen and vice versa.
Everyone had a lot of fun seeing the recreation of their snowmen!

Congratulations Raegan! Warhawk Power!

Our fifth graders at Weyauwega Elementary really enjoyed their study of the Circulatory System.
They did a great job working together on their dissection assignment.
The comment that was heard repeatedly was, "This is the best day ever."

A BIG thank you to Ava J. for allowing Mrs. Dykes' animal science students to help you take care of your adopted orphan lamb. 🐑
The newborns have to be bottle-fed every 2 hrs to survive.
This was a great way to learn animal care management! #WegaFremont

Fifth graders in Mrs. Hanten's class worked on self-esteem in guidance.
First they did a hands up, pair up, share up activity where they had to answer positive questions about themselves with classmates.
Then they wrote "Merry Messages" for their classmates to build others up for the holiday season! 💚❤️

Prior to deer hunting season, the #WegaFremont FFA chapter held a contest for having the biggest buck. 🦌
The entry fee was $5 or a 5 non-perishable canned food item for the Weyauwega Food Pantry. Even non-hunters could participate in the food drive! 🥫
The chapter collected hundreds of non-perishable food items.
Congratulations to Trevor H. for getting a 10 pt buck and winning a $50 gift card!
