The #WegaFremont FCCLA has been busy!
Our very own State Officer Lauren W. presented at her first Wisconsin Leadership Academy event at UW-Stout. While there, they also had the pleasure of listening to Hannah T. a 2021 WF graduate and former State FCCLA officer herself discuss college life and the many accomplishments she has made while pursuing her degree in FCS education while attending Stout!
Our officer team was able to travel to UW Stevens Point to attend the second WLA event, too. Students participated in various breakout sessions to learn more about FCCLA and how to expand our chapter!
We also must give a HUGE congratulations to Analiz P who won a $500 scholarship! 👏
We are all super proud of this amazing group of student leaders! 🌟

Last week FFA members taught third grade classrooms about where their food comes from!
They made ice cream 🍦 and butter 🧈 in the classrooms then went to a farm to learn about livestock and the milking process! 🐄

The middle school football team finished their season with a 30-6 win over Rosholt last week! 👏 🏈

During the Child Development unit in Ms. Zank's eighth grade FCS class, students learned all about the responsibilities and importance of safety when taking care of a newborn baby.
To put them to the test, each student was responsible for taking care of their very own Egg Baby! 🥚
The students were required to create a safe place to keep their baby, provide it with proper care and attention, as well as be a responsible caregiver!
Although we did have some casualties, overall the students did an EGGcellent job and hopefully learned some valuable skills! #WegaFremont

Mrs. Billington's mathematicians have been putting their skills into play!

We are DIGGING Mrs. Billington’s third graders paleontology skills! 👍
For their science unit, the students had to dig for fossils (chocolate chips) in the dirt (cookie 🍪).
The challenge was to get all of the dirt off the fossils and “examine” 🔍 them very closely to be sure they could see the whole fossil!
